
(to be read in conjunction with the Rules of Golf and any Temporary Local Rules)
1. Out of Bounds (Rule 27-1)
a. Ground beyond course boundary fences.
b. Beyond any internal boundary marked by white stakes with black tops and including the Clubhouse, Professional's Shop and adjacent carpark.
Note: A ball which crosses the entrance driveway defined as out of bounds and comes to rest beyond that road is out of bounds, even though it may lie on another part of the course.
2. Lateral Water Hazards (Rule 26)
Note 1: Dropping Zones - Holes 10, 13 and15.
Special areas on which balls may be dropped when it is not feasible or practiable to proceed exactly in conformity with Rule 26-1 (under penalty of one stroke).
Note 2: The stakes are immovable obstructions.
3. Ground Under Repair/Gardens
a. Garden areas market G.U.R. The player must take relief in accordance with Rule 25-1. All other garden areas are integral parts of the course.
b. Solidly embedded stones through the green. Rule 25-1 applies.
c. Those areas, the margins of which are defined by white stakes and/or lines, G.U.R. signage and/or accompanying rope. Rule 25-1 applies.
Note: The stakes and signs are immovable obstructions.
4. Roads, Paths and Drains
Except for the entrance driveway (refer Local Rule 1) artificially surfaced roads and paths are immovable obstructions. Rule 24-2 applies. All other natural roads and paths are integral parts of the course.
Note: Through the green, all drains are integral parts of the course.
5. Trees and Shrubs
If a staked tree (including guard/stake) interferes with a player?s stance or the area of intended swing the play MUST take relief in accordance with Rule 24-2b(i).
Note: The stakes and/or guards are immovable obstructions
6. Bunkers
a. Washaways in bunkers are G.U.R. Rule 25-1b(ii) applies.
b. Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions Rule 24-1 applies
c. Grassed slopes of bunkers are not closely mown areas. Rule 25-2 does
NOT apply.
7. Obstruction Close to Putting Green
If the ball lies off the green outside a hazard within two club-lengths of an immovable obstruction which is on or within two club-lengths of the green and intervenes on the line of play it may be lifted, cleaned and dropped without penalty at the nearest point of relief, not nearer the hole. If the ball lies on the green, the ball must be placed.
