Dinner & Heart Ed Lecture ~ 11 July, 6pm

In response to a recent suggestion from the Member Experience committee, the Social Committee is intending to offer a program of occasional Dinner & Talk Events during 2022 and beyond. These events will each consist of Dinner plus a Guest Speaker talking about a topical subject/issue of likely interest to Club members. As far as possible, the Guest Speaker will be sourced from within the ranks of our Members or at least their personal contacts. The Committee is looking to stage two events in 2022 and hopefully four events in 2023. At all times, the focus of the night will be on both informing and entertaining all who attend!

The initial event is scheduled for Monday 11^th July in the Dining Room and will feature Riversdale member and Cardiologist, Dr Stephen Sylivris, who will speak from years of experience regarding Heart Health Education. Given the recent and untimely passing of Australian sporting greats, Rod Marsh and Shane Warne due to heart attacks, this topic should hopefully be of particular interest to Club members of all ages. The event itself will begin at 6.00pm with a Welcome Drink followed by a main course and coffee. The cost for the Event will be $45 per person. The talk itself will take place after the Main meal and should last between 30-60 minutes including questions. Prizes in the form of bottles of wine will be awarded to those participants who correctly answer questions posed by Stephen during his talk. We look forward to seeing as many members and guests as possible in attendance on the night and that such events become a permanent fixture in Riversdale’s Social Calendar in the future.
