This year our speaker for the Remembrance Day dinner will be Geoff Brewer.
A VETERAN’S COMMITMENT TO REMEMBERING HIS MATES
It did not take long for our 2022 Remembrance Day dinner speaker, Geoff Brewer,
to recognise how best to remember and pay tribute to those he served with in Vietnam at the height of that country’s conflict.
He would write a book. It would have pictures, facts, figures and anecdotes and be dedicated to the men from Bravo Company, 2RAR, covering its first tour of Vietnam in 1967/68, perhaps the most pivotal period of the conflict for the allied forces.
It took Geoff six long years to put together what is a quite brilliant compilation and as fitting a tribute as anything that has come out of the Vietnam era.
Geoff will reflect on his Vietnam experience and just what it was like for him and the rest of Bravo Company to be there.
And perhaps more importantly how the experience has affected many of them.
Geoff has a story to tell.
